Evergreen

Atkins has been commissioned to work on the detailed design of the Chiltern Railways upgrade, currently one of the UK’s most important and technically challenging rail modernisation programmes.

Gautrain

South Africa’s first high speed railway line opened ahead of the FIFA World Cup. Atkins provided detailed designs for the project including 15km of underground tunnels.

ERTMS

Atkins is helping to deliver the most important combined upgrade in passenger and freight train services in Europe. The European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) is being implemented across 3200km of track on the Danish rail network.

NEWS

Atkins designs new station for Carlsberg city - 09 May 2013

Atkins is helping to redevelop the Carlsberg city district in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark with a contract to design a new station.

Atkins partners with Grontmij to design Danish track upgrade- 08 May 2013

Rail Net Denmark has signed an agreement with Atkins and engineering firm Grontmij to upgrade a 20km extension railway line between Vamdrup and Vojens in Denmark, taking it from single to double track and providing greater capacity for freight and passenger trains.

Atkins to guide Brunei’s sustainable national land transportation system - 11 September 2012

Atkins is helping to deliver a comprehensive new multimodal land transportation strategy for Brunei Darussalam, aimed at boosting the country’s economy, providing greater travel choice and reducing its environmental impacts. The team will be working alongside lead consultant, SQW China Limited, a London-based economic and management consultancy business.
