Atkins is providing specialist consultancy services to Devon and Somerset Fire Authority in support of a programme of change that will improve the efficiency and boost the effectiveness of the organisation.

We are working in partnership with the authority to identify opportunities for efficiencies. It is intended that the contract will be available to all fire authorities in the southwest of England.

Initial advice and support has focussed on establishing the programme and governance, assessing the capacity for procurement savings and revenue generation, the development of an IT strategy and assessment of the options for improved organisation design.
