Atkins provided masterplanning and full multidisciplinary design of the 185ha site, encompassing 137 new buildings and refurbishment of some existing buildings. Facilities include training buildings; headquarters; mess buildings and accommodation; an indoor swimming pool and sports pitches.

The delivery of this large and complex project involved a design team of around 180 Atkins staff, co-located with the client/contractor and working in excellent collaboration with all the stakeholders. Atkins achieved cost savings by providing a number of innovative and sustainable solutions. The new garrison was completed five months ahead of the five year schedule and on budget.
