Background

When did you join Atkins?

November 2009.

Why did you join Atkins?

I was looking to join an aerospace engineering company. Atkins Nedtech (now called Atkins) is the lead operator in the Netherlands and was the best option for me to start my career.

What did you do before you joined Atkins?

I studied for my Bachelor’s degree in Italy and then my Masters in Space Engineering in Delft. After that I worked in a consultancy for five months before joining Atkins.

How do you describe what you do to friends and family?

I tell them that I investigate particular components in aeroplanes and calculate for how long they can be in service in an efficient way. If the ideals are not met, then I have to think about the possible redesign of the component.
