It’s very much a two-way commitment: if you work hard to achieve your development goals, we’ll work hard to provide you with all the support and guidance you need. From producing a development plan to track your progress to achieving your qualification, with regular reviews along the way.
It’s your career so it’s up to you to determine the specific route you’ll take through the various elements of the programme. But you are not alone – there are people to assist and support you, such as your line manager, your mentor and managers of our institution-accredited structured training schemes. A large part of your personal development will be achieved by working on real-world projects and reflecting on those experiences. This is supplemented by a range of courses, seminars and events. These provide a great opportunity to network across Atkins, develop your business and interpersonal skills, as well as helping to identify your strengths and areas for development. Internal and external placements are also available, but most of our business areas can offer the experience needed to realise your ambitions and fulfil your objectives.
With so much expertise contained within our business, we’re also able to offer a wealth of information on our company intranet. This includes a dedicated site for our graduates, where you’ll find information on our institution-accredited training schemes, available courses, a diary of key events and a discussion board. There are also a number of graduate groups spread across our offices that are great for networking and sharing knowledge.
Your journey doesn’t end once you’ve completed the programme and gained your professional qualification. We’ll help you to determine your future career path with Atkins and provide professional development and practical training.
